Body Confidence

I often hear women talk negatively about themselves. I am no exception myself. Telling yourself that you are unattractive, too fat or too thin only contribute to a lower self-esteem. Embrace yourself and accept your flaws, they are what they are, some might be changeable – do so if you desire but try not to think negative thoughts. Try focussing on the things you like about yourself instead.

With a Passion for Fashion

I woke up late today after having hit the snooze button a bit too many times. I went down stairs and did what a girl have to do to look decent. I had a dress and cropped blazer hanging on my door from Sunday's Christmas event. It is a bit fancy but I’ve worn it to nursing school more than once. Glasses on and a flower in my hair. But which shoes to wear? I decided on my spiky flats, they aren’t exactly comfortable but they even out the classiness of the dress and gives it edge.

Welcome Winter

Once upon a time in a small country called Denmark just after the Berlin Wall fell a little girl was born. It was a blissful snowy weather and Christmas had just passed. Sounds like the beginning of a fairytale. It sort of is. My fairytale. My story. My beginning. I was born in December 1989 on a day where the snow was slowly falling from the sky. I've always loved winter, snow, Christmas, staying in front of the fire drinking tea or hot chocolate, baking Christmas cookies and eating too much delicious food.

Enslaved by Cats

I have often said: some people have children and others have cats. I don’t mean that I never want to have kids, but I do treat my small fur-babies very well, they are my everything and I must admit that I have entire conversations with them on occasion. Does this make me a crazy cat lady? Of course. Do I mind? Not the slightest and I will tell you why.

A Hard Working Little Elf

It’s soon to be Christmas and I’ve been a hard-working little elf and decorated our house from the beginning of this jolly month. Well from the end of November to be honest. I just couldn’t handle all of the sparkly things calling me from the attic.

When decorating my house I get reunited with some old friends – my vintage decorations which have been passed on through generations. I love and cherish these fragile friends of mine but I like to spice things up a notch by introducing them to new friends – sparkly, shiny Christmas decorations in pretty pastels. I like this mix of decoration I’ve known since I was a child and which are of great sentimental value to me and the new ones which I get to choose and more or less reflect my likes and who I am.
